Yoga is for everyone and this course is designed with the beginner in mind. Held over 5 consecutive Saturday mornings this course will introduce you to the concepts and practice of yoga, specifically Hatha/vinyasa yoga and focuses on breathing, alignment and meditation.

After completion of the course you will feel so much more informed and comfortable when you join in regular classes. It is also great for those already practising but who want to deepen their knowledge and understanding of yoga.

Restorative Workshop

Venue;  Beenleigh Neighbourhood Centre, Mansfield Walk, Beenleigh.

Restorative yoga, with its emphasis on supported poses, allows the body to enter the deep, restful state it craves. When you stop agitating it by resting in a pose for a particular length of time, the body starts to repair itself. Restorative yoga provides healing for the body and the mind. It is especially useful when you need to eliminate fatigue and stress that our daily lives can unfortunately bring. It can also help you recover from illness and injury and will benefit those who suffer from depression or anxiety.

Yoga Nidra is often referred to as psychic sleep. Relaxation is something that we equate with activities like listening to music or walking in nature. Deep relaxation is something very different though. Deep relaxation can be achieved by participating in a Yoga Nidra guided meditation. It quietens your mind and releases physical tension in your body. In a state of deep relaxation, your heart beat and breathing slow down and your body and mind become deeply calm. We get to experience this beautiful meditation at the end of our restorative yoga session. Pure Bliss! 

Blankets and straps are provided but please bring your own bolster. Bolsters can be purchased online from Yoga King, Stretch Now, iyogaprops and Bolster and Things to name just a few. You MUST have a bolster to attend the workshop.

The Art of Adjusting and Assists for Yoga Teachers

2 July 2016 - 1 - 4pm (possibly going over time)

Adjusting students in your yoga class can be overwhelming at times as there are so many other things to remember whilst teaching. Let me help you to banish the fear of adjustments!

In this workshop we will discuss verbal adjusting and also learn 'hands on' adjustment techniques and assists for various postures, safely and confidently. 

Venue: Shake Your Buddha home studio at Windaroo, near Beenleigh, Queensland. (We are directly across the road from.83 Carl Heck Blvd, Windaroo.  Entry is through the little grey gate and the studio will be on your lefthand side.. You can't miss it!

Cost: $55.00    Light refreshments served afterwards.
